School: The most loved period of life

School life is often called the most beautiful period of life. For Ken, it was more than beautiful. It was loud, energetic, unforgettable, and full of dreams that ran faster than time itself.

From childhood, Ken loved sports more than anything else. Whether it was football, cricket, basketball, or athletics, he wanted to be part of every game happening in school. The playground knew him better than the classrooms did. Teachers often smiled seeing him run across the field with dusty shoes and shining eyes.

He was not a weak student. In fact, many believed he was intelligent enough to score high marks if only he sat down and studied seriously. But Ken had his own world. Books bored him, while stories excited him. Instead of memorizing lessons, he would sit near the classroom window writing short stories in his rough notebook. Stories about friendship, dreams, victory, heartbreak, and imaginary heroes.

Hini - Ken's first blossom and regret

What Ken has is too pure, too rare to expose to the harsh judgments of the world. In our stolen days, we are fully alive—two people who found each other again against impossible odds, and Ken usually says and understands that true things don’t always follow the rules society writes.

Exams came and went like seasonal rains. Ken somehow managed to pass every year with average marks. His parents worried at times, but his cheerful nature and honesty made it difficult to stay angry with him for long.

Ken had many friends. Boys admired his confidence and sportsmanship, while girls found him easy to talk to because he never tried to impress anyone. He was friendly with everyone but maintained a respectful distance from girls. Not because he hated them, but because he never knew how to behave around emotions. He understood games better than feelings.

For Ken, friendship was simple. Laugh together. Eat together. Protect each other. That was enough.

His school days passed like a fast-running train filled with noise, competitions, farewell celebrations, and countless memories. On the final day of school, Ken stood silently holding his farewell badge while watching his classmates click photographs and promise lifelong friendship. For the first time in years, the energetic boy felt afraid of time.

Soon, college life began.

College was different from school. People carried hidden emotions behind smiling faces. Friendships became complicated. Expectations became dangerous.

And then came Hini…
